Cooking Guide
Peel the onion. Cut in half lengthways and continue to slice in this direction.
In a pan, heat up the oil and butter. Then add the onion.
Stir and brown on a high heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Then cover and stir every 2 minutes.
It’ll take about 10 minutes for the onions to reach the right consistency of caramelization.
For the hummus:
Add the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, mustard, honey, and cumin to a blender. Then grate in the lemon zest.
Grind in some black pepper and season with salt. Blend everything until it’s creamy.
If the hummus is too thick, then squeeze in the lemon juice.
Spread out the Doritos® Tortilla Chips on a plate.
Spoon the hummus into a bowl and then spoon the caramelized onions on top
Sprinkle some ground black pepper on top and garnish with parsely and mint leaves.
